Contrary to what everyone thinks African American's also love tacos!!!!

I was delighted to design for a small "Fiesta Style" Party a few weeks ago.

The party was equipped with tacos, margaritas, and spanish guitar.

It was really a lot of fun.

Tablescape: Which was super simple. My clients wanted it very colorful, and also wanted to utilize jalapenos in the presentation. Im sorry you cant see the entire vase. Which was filled with jalapenos. The table is covered in a lime colored linen tablecloth. I used two different plates both edgy square plates; a larger red plate and a smaller orange plate. Sense the party was fiesta themed the green fiesta beverage napkins were a perfect touch and fix nicely in the center.

I also used an array of colored gems on the table as well as some jalapeno confetti. Multi-colored votive holders and margarita glasses finished the tablescape.

THE MENU

Taco Bar

A taco bar is perfect for this type of party because everyone gets to pick actually what they want. Three different types of tacos; Ground Beef, Fiesta lean ground beef, and tilapia.

Making each of these were also super simple. With the ground beef it was as simple as browning the ground beef with taco seasoning. However, the fiesta ground beef was a little more flavorful and more lean. Corn, onions, and garlic were added in addition to taco seasonings to complete the dish. Lastly, the fish tacos were made of tilapia which is a really good mild fish and had a lot of flavor. The bar included; cheese, lettuce, tomatoe, salsa, taco sauce, and sour cream. Also, were doritos for what most call "Walking Tacos"

Now you know you cant have a party without dessert. So some delis mini cupcakes were in order. Chocolate in flavor with green frosting and a jalapenocupcake topper.
